Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy covers the website francis-the-red.com and the apps and games published by Francis the Red Studio, including those on Google Play. Short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell or share data for advertising, and each app says exactly what it collects.
Who is responsible
The data controller is François Le Roux, trading as Francis the Red Studio, Rue des Francs 50, 1040 Etterbeek, Belgium, enterprise number 1043.569.946. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@francis-the-red.com.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. The site loads nothing from other servers: no external fonts, scripts, embedded videos or ads.
- Server logs. To send you a page, the server necessarily receives your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser's user-agent. We don't keep access logs. If we turn them on to fix a problem or stop abuse, they hold only these fields and are deleted within 14 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- Hosting. The server is rented from Hetzner Online GmbH, which processes this data on our behalf in its data centre in Falkenstein, Germany.
When you e-mail us
We use your address and your message only to answer you. We keep the conversation as long as it's useful to follow up, then delete it, except where Belgian law requires us to keep business records (for example invoices, 10 years). We never add you to a mailing list.
Our apps and games
These rules apply to every app and game we publish:
- Each app has its own section below (or its own page linked from its store listing) that states exactly what it collects, why, how long it's kept, and who else receives it, if anyone.
- Most of our apps collect nothing. When an app's section says "collects no data", it sends no personal data to us or to anyone else: anything you do in it (progress, settings) stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall it.
- We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- If an app ever needs data (for example an online leaderboard or crash reports), its section lists it before that version is released, and the store listing's data-safety section matches it.
- An app that isn't listed below isn't covered by this policy.
App sections
No app is published yet. Each app gets its section here before its release.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or export the data we hold about you, or object to its use. Write to contact@francis-the-red.com; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données), rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date. If a change affects an app's data, that app's section says so before the update ships.
